So.... new plan. Lish can't post every week. Its just not gonna happen. It seems like I try to sit down on the weekend to get this done and the next thing I know, Connor or Dan or the house or someone needs something. Now that that's off my chest... here's the update from our last few weeks (which is now officially almost a month ago because this didn't get posted at the right time :)
First update -- Connor got his first haircut (and Lish gave her first haircut ever). Good thing Connor didn't know that or he may not have let me try!! Dan's not willing to let my second ever haircut be on him--- and I think its probably better that way. Frankly, I don't know how he didn't end up with a few holes in his hair based on my technique and his movement, but it actually turned out ok. I used both an electric trimmer and scissors and tried to immitate what I've seen beauticians do when cutting a guys hair. Connor was a little unsure of the trimmer at first, but when I let him hold it and told him it was like Mommy & Daddy's electric toothbrush, he warmed up a little bit (small amount -- see video). We put him in the highchair in front of Toy Story 3 -- and about 10 minutes later, we went from long adorable baby hair to a full-fledged toddler.
Dan's currently training for marathon #2. He signed up for the Seattle Rock N'Roll in June.... so yet again he will be shedding pounds as I put them on. There is something wrong with that!
Dan also got his last fix of skiing in for the year last weekend while catching closing weekend at the local mountain with a co-worker. He had a great time and he said they just continued to board hard and fast all day long. They called at 3:30 and said they were TIRED and on their way home (he hasn't been this tired since some of the hard days with Chris & Bob or his brothers or the day with 20+ inches of powder and snow all day at Bridger).
Lish update -- I now have 1 less tooth than I used to :) Two weeks ago, my tooth started to bug me on a Sunday. It was bad enough that I knew I would need to call the dentist when they opened on Tuesday morning... but totally managable. By Monday at 3pm, I was in such pain that I called the dentist emergency line (his personal cell phone). He called in antibiotics and Tylenol+ Codine (which the pharmacist said to take in moderation with the baby -- so it totally freaked me out). I slept a total of 3 hours that night and went to the dentist Tuesday. They did a partial root canal and said it should get lots better -- with a full root canal scheduled for Thursday. When the local anesthetic wore off, I was right back to square one. With little sleep again that night, I called the next morning to see if he'd just numb me back up again. He said, "I've never had anyone ask me to put needles in their mouth again -- it must be bad". When I went back Wednesday, he said it had gotten so bad that they had to pull the tooth. It felt like I had gotten in a fight with Mike Tyson & that was 100x better than the day before! Luckily, this week I am feeling back to normal, with the exception of a hole in my mouth!! Here's a pic....

Ok, ok. Just kidding. Its in the back so you can't see it.... but the upside is that Dan brought me home some beautiful tulips.... twice in the last week!
Here's a couple more cute Connor pics from the last few weeks.
Yeah -- thanks so much for posting the video of Connor's first haircut...that was fun to watch! He did great, too! :) Miss you guys, hope all is well!
