Travels

The last quarter of the year was a busy one for us when it came to traveling.  Probably a big contributor to the lack of blogging --- but we had so much FUN!  In three months, we made 7 trips plus had the whole Kachmarik crew for Christmas! 

In October, we were lucky enough to make it to San Jose for a little work and a lot of fun on the side.    We had a great day in Vasona park in Los Gatos, riding the train and celebrating Landon turning 1, followed by getting to check out Stace & Sean’s new digs.  We got some good quality hang out time with Stace & Sean & D as we all hung out for the last time at Cedarville    We spent the next day in SF, getting to visit Becko (who was busy with so many contributions to the Giants in this World Series winning season).  We caught the Blue Angels as part of Fleet Week in SF and made a full trip of it! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Next up – the whole family flew to Tulsa, OK to visit my Grandma.  The boys and I flew with my parents via “Mini-Apples”.  We spent a long weekend with my Grandma who will be 90 in a month.  She loved seeing the boys and meeting Drew for the first time.  My Grandma has been a world traveler and has gone on lots of expeditions both with my Grandpa and in the last 20 years since he died.  Until this summer, she has spent each summer at Hebgan lake in Montana, but didn’t feel up to making the trip this summer, so we all decided we needed to make the trip down.  I loved seeing the way the boys were happy to snuggle with her and she loved showing them off to the other residents of her retirement community.  It was a great trip!

In November – Dan started the month off traveling to LA for work and sneaking in a dinner with the LA crew in Santa Monica.  For Thanksgiving, we all made the trip to Seattle for 10 days. Dan’s grandparents made it out to Seattle for the long trip and we got to introduce them to Drew as well.  We spent lots of family time and also got to hang out with friends, meeting Addison and catching up!

Drew LOVED Addison and the above was only a snippet of the way he attacked her with kisses.  Addison was a good sport!  Watch out Lynz & Bob – she’s a cutie and all the boys are going to love her! 

Lynz – YOU looked fabulous!  Can’t believe how quickly all of these kids are growing and I love that they’re all going to get to hang out in the future!

December – The first weekend in December I took off for San Diego to celebrate baby Goose Mohnacky!  It was a beautiful Saturday in San Diego with lots of sun and good friends.  Sunday involved a great long walk on the beach and simple good catch up time!

Two weeks later – we all made the journey back to San Jose.  Dan volunteered for his second solo flight with two boys while I worked for 2 days.  We hung out with family, met beautiful Ella and then Connor & Drew had their first friend sleepover as Stace, Sean & Becko were AMAZING and watched them overnight as Dan & I had a great date night in Monterey at the Plaza for my WF Christmas party.  Thank you to unbelievable friends for a great date night and for taking such good care of our kiddos.
