Road Trip–Seating for 8!

As we all know, the hardest part of moving is always finding new friends to hang out with.  For us, that has put into perspective how AMAZINGLY lucky we are to have the friends we have and have put that much more emphasis on making an effort to hang out with them.  We were so excited to go visit Ali & Chris in Boise, and sad that it’s taken us this long to do so.   Chris called early in the week before we left to ask Dan if he could change plans and bring golf clubs and fishing gear instead of skiis Boise was unseasonably warm (much like the rest of the country).  Dan responded with “SURE!  Should I bring anything else too?”  And here’s why…….

Connor got a new set of wheels Smile  Sadly, by the time he gets to drive it, it will be old and probably a little abused.

We joined the Greenwoods in driving a Buick – its not just for retirees anymore (at least that’s what we’re telling ourselves).

We hit the road for Boise and got there when Ali & Chris got off work.  We had such a great weekend as we got to do some old fashioned hang out time!  They were such amazing hosts – we can’t thank them enough for having us and for the great time catching up.  See their blog for lots of fun pics and better details on the weekend (MUCH more timely too).

Fore Score and 11 Inches Ago

Again – its been a while since the last blog update.  We’ve had a very fun and busy January/ February but it seems as though the craziness and traveling for the summer is really just beginning.  Nana Betsy came to visit the end of January for a week.  It was lots of fun for the guys to get to have BOTH of their “nana”s here.  Connor was so excited – he would point back and forth to one and then the other when we all went to dinner together, saying “one, ooo (two)”

We also had lots of fun together time spent inside.  Connor absolutely loves bathtime and when you tell him its time for rubber ducky, he goes RUNNING upstairs to get a towel for he and Drew and then runs into the bathroom for tubby time.

Connor is becoming a very good sharer too.  He and Drew are snuggled up in this miniature version of a papasan Smile

And here’s my biggest recent change.  I chopped off 11 inches for Locks of Love.  It wasn’t a pre-planned thing is the funniest part of it.  I was going to have him take off about 3 inches to freshen things up.  On my short drive to the salon, I decided, why not see if there’s enough to donate without shaving my head.  Sure enough – he took off 11 inches and still gave me a cute haircut so I’m sporting a much shorter ‘do these days Smile  Its nice and easy at least!

Here’s a couple Christmas pics I never shared.  I was so excited with the way it was all decorated this year, I had to play show and tell.
