New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day

Believe it or not – this was actually a very busy and eventful New Year’s for us this year.  Dan & I went to a friend from High School’s wedding on December 30th… (Congrats Cerissa & Ben)!!  We had a great “date night” as Betsy and Ken watched Connor & Drew.  We got to enjoy a little dancing and hanging out with friends – and got to get dressed up!  If you would have told High School Lish that she would enjoy getting dressed up – I would never have believed it!  Now – I really look forward to it (and this one didn’t even get spit up on)!

New Year’s Day we celebrated Drew’s baptism. 

 

He didn’t even cry!  Fr. Haffey was nice enough to think ahead and the fountain was heated!

Santa Visit

We have had such a magical Christmas season with Connor this year.  While he enjoyed the lights and sparkle last year, it has taken a whole new meaning this year.  He is anticipating things, remembers the tree downstairs each morning and how to turn it on, the “Santa is Watching” comments often spurs good behavior and there is a definite twinkle in his eye. 

I must say that I have LOVED every minute of the Christmas season this year as well.  Its like seeing lights for the first time or waiting with anticipation for each new day when you experience it with a kiddo.  We’re so lucky to have two beautiful, energetic boys that have helped us become kids again.

Catching Up.

Wow – Where does the time go.  I knew it had been a long time since a blog post but until this evening, I didn’t realize just HOW BAD it was.  I decided to look just to see where I left off – so here’s the run-down.

Great Thanksgiving trip to Woodinville with Dan’s family  (with practically no pictures to show for it)--

In early December we won the biggest prize the two of us have ever won from a drawing – at Dan’s company Christmas party we received coupons in exchange for bringing canned goods that were donated to the Food Bank.  We brought in a couple bags of food and two packages of diapers (I know – not food but they said they needed them and it made sense to me).  We expected for that to be the end.  My parents had left the party early in order to be the guys babysitters and Dan & I were going to hang out until all of the drawings were done….. SO GLAD WE DID! 

WE WON!!!

Grand Prize – 2 Airline tickets to Las Vegas, 3 Nights at THE Hotel and 2 tickets to “O” (row H)!  Pretty excited about our upcoming trip!
